Been playing with my new Caparison and I love it, feels beautiful and sounds pretty awesome. However, I feel the pickups aren't quite right for me. It's got an Evo 2 in the bridge which I find a little dull and thuddy and the original alnico singles in the mid and neck which are a little shrill for my tastes. Looking to replace the bridge with something a little brighter to compensate for the mahogany body and 12-60 gauge strings in drop C and some singles that are a little more vintage sounding but not quite so much high treble. I run it into a range of amps, Mesa Triaxis, Peavey 5150II, ADA MP-1, 5 watt tweed combo and a few new ones arriving in the future. 90% of what I play is rhythm ( I can't play lead for shit) so that's my primary concern.
I was thinking something like a Black Winter, Distortion or Lundgren M6 in the bridge, an area 67 in the middle and an injector in the neck.
For specs, it's a 25.5 scale bolt on maple neck with an incredibly thick ebony board, mahogany body, schaller floyd and a single volume control.
You find an Evo2 dull and Alnico 2 single-coils shrill?
