So, with tools arranged, I started my install of my new Seymour Duncan Gus G. Fire System into the Jackson King V (hardtail).
I'd mapped everything out except the 3-way slider switch. Pickups went in fine except the tabs were a little wide for the routing in the face of my guitar. Nothing a Dremel didn't solve.
I ground off just a bit of the tabs on each side and it worked like a champ. Mounted the pickups in the rings, soldered in the new stereo jack, dropped in the pickups and connected them to the Seymour Duncan Blackout Modular Preamp.
Indeed, everything was going swimmingly until I couldn't figure out the sliding selector switch and I set my instructions on fire.
