that splits really well?
I used my SL2H at a jam session this week and I was amazed (and disappointed)
by how thin it sounded. The JB in the bridge sounds great in this guitar.
I have a Duncan 59 in the neck of my GMW that is glorious tapped or full on, but that is such a different guitar I don't know if I'd get the same results in a Soloist.
If you want to split, the higher the resistance, typically the better it sounds. A typical Fender style single is about 6-9k so double that number and you've got a humbucker with two coils that should have enough winding to sound decent. I love the Tone Zone split in the neck. Tried t out a few months back and it's killer. Plus the SH6 neck is pretty sweet when split.
