Just an idea i'm toying with, but I am thinking about sanding the clearcoat and black finish off of my Schecter PT's neck, and tung oiling it, because even with it having a rosewood fretboard I think it would look better with a maple headstock than black. The two problems with this is I don't want to lose the serial number and stuff on the back of the headstock, and I don't see any company making Schecter decals, especially the type thats on my PT. Should I just try to make a waterslide decal or something? I don't know if I should do it, or just leave it as it is. I would like the headstock a lot better if it were natural and had a black logo, especially since the maple has some decent figuring in it, but then again I don't know if it would be worth the trouble.
