I'm looking to implement BFR/JPXI wiring in my RG7620 as I'm adding a CL/LF set and I really like that tonal option on the JPXI that I played in the store.
Basically the tone pot needs to get swapped out for a push-pull style. When pushed in, the two humbuckers are in normal parallel combination. When pulled out, the humbuckers are split and the inner coils are combined in series.
Can anyone give me a shopping list and a wiring diagram? Me love you long time.
You'll need the CL/LF pups (duhh), and a push/pull pot. A cap too, unless you'll salvage one from your old pot - should work just fine.
Please note that your wiring is pretty much in conflict with the 3-way switch. I can't think of any simple and sane way of wiring your guitar in such a manner that the push/pull pot overrides the pickup selector switch when pulled out. What's more logical is that the push/pull pot only switches between humbucker/single coil function regardless of chosen pickups. Propably doable, though, but can't think of an easy way right now.
