    flame maple tops....

So where is a good supplier for 1/4" flame maple tops. I know where to go for the thinner veneers but should I look to those places for the thicker stuff as well? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I got this bookmatch from north ridge hardwoods
Luthier Tonewood Supplier, Guitar Tops, Body Blanks, Acoustic Sets, Neck Blanks

This is sanded and stained and wet with naptha for the pic (and drying out in areas as you can see!!)

Now that it has 12 coats of lacquer on it... its STUPID HOT!! (need the sun to come out and get more pics!!)

Bell Forest products is out by you as well...

NOW..... I also have some stuff.... and just came across a stash at my local lumber yard that is BANGIN... and CHEAP...

If your intersted, hit me with a PM and i can show you a board I just planed... i'm not in the business of selling drop tops... but... this stuff is dam nice, maybe i should start!!!! and the dude is selling it at a really low price.. why??? because he sells to cabinet makers.. not guitar makers..... i've found ANYTHING that gets sold as a "tonewood" is automatically 5X the price... and i'm gonna keep that a secrete from this old redneck for as loing as i possible can!!

I need to get a new re-saw blade for the band saw, but that will be iin next week.

Thanks.... Its even better now with the lacquer

Yeah.. Northridge has top notch stuff... I was hesitant about the price (that was $125 bux!!) but I think its worth it..

The stuff I just got locally is WAY cheaper.. but.. also isn;t quite that tight of a curl.. (but in a way i like it better...its got more tiger to it)
