I'm rocking an Alesis DM6 kit, yeah a cheaper kit but I didn't expect the damn cymbals to fall apart. Good thing I know how to solder! The drum pads are all great, it's just the cymbal pads. It seems the tiny screws on the bottom that hold everything together unscrew themselves and fall out, and i've pretty much lost all of them because of this. They still work just fine, but when it starts falling apart it won't sit on the stand correctly. I want to seal them shut, but I don't know what I should use.....super glue? Before I commit to sealing them I want to make sure I use something that will get the job done.
I'm eventually going to get better cymbal pads...some of the Surge cymbals, so I don't really care if I can't open them up again, I just want them to not fall apart until I can afford to get better pads.
Replace screws, add loctite.
