So, I traded my Kahler to a guy that sort of posts here every once in a while, And decided I want to try my hand at building a building for the neck I got.
I found this PDF file of an outline that I feel would work well with the neck due to the headstock, plus I was wanting it to be sorta of a Stealth shape.
That is the outline of it, kind of hard to see some parts but I kind of like it. Just not sure if it is big enough to fit the 25.5" scale a bridge (Fixed bridge) and a pickup and vol knob.
And this is my "Mockup" of what I think it would look like overall. Noctice the headstock shape?
So, what do you guys think? should I change the size a bit to make it a bit bigger? or keep it like it is? Also, I was thinking of doing a natrual wood body and thought about getting either Black Limba or Sapale from here since they will build the blank to your size. (I know if they glue the wood together it isn't exactly "Building" myself )
The body looks a bit short. Draw the bridge and pickups on there.
Cutting/shaping/sanding/finishing all of those 'mouths' is going to be most unpleasant.
