So i have this mexican fender, and the frets were trashed, so refret time. Refinishing it, gonna profile it a bit, new inlays, etc. The board needs surfacing anyways, as its kinda warped. Not awful but enough that it would be 100% stupid not to take care of it now that the frets are out. I've cleaned up a few boards before but not one this bumpy. Just taken out the typical skijump etc.
My issue is that I'd always straighten the neck as much as i could, and then level but In no way am i able to get any section of the neck lined up with the others in terms of straightness. The humps are not even from side to side either. Basically, I cannot tell when the neck is at that straight spot where it should be leveled
Should I just eyeball it? Get it to where i'm confident that once i put tension on, ill be able to get it ever so slightly curved?
Make a new neck
