    This is pretty cool if you have a guitar that could benefit from using both 500K and 250K volume pots, like one that runs a hotter humbucker and a lower output single coil.

    Fun Fact: According to this article and this one the JB was made to be used with 250K pots. So if you think it's shrill using 250K pots might help.

    I had heard that about the JB. I liked the way it sounded as-is in my old baritone, but I wonder if I'd have liked it even more with a 250k pot.

    Honestly, I've never really had an issue with singles run at 500k, but this is a cool solution.

    I wonder if there's some way to set it up (probably need a few more poles) so that you'd switch the resistor in and out at the same time you switch pickups.

    Should be easiy-ish to do with a superswitch. For all pickup combos that want 250k, engage the resistor! Could be done with one of the plates, leaving the other 3 for mad wiring yo!
