So after getting new pickups for this almost a year ago () I'm finally getting around to putting them in. This cavity is fuckin' nasty, so I'm going to rip all that shit out, copper tape it and try and get it cleaned up.
Anyway, that giant mess of shit at the left of the cavity is (as far as I can tell) the stock Jackson wiring and it looks like ass. Is there any particular upside to running all the grounds to a point like that? I always just use the back of the pot.
There is if you were to shield the cavity with shielding paint/copper. Otherwise it's just convenience.
