Fuck. I wanted to like phrase this elegantly, but I can't be bothered. I pretty much have this habit of sticking a toothpick in the hole every time I insert install new strap buttons of any variety, just to make sure it is extra firm. I forgot that Cliplock screws are slightly bigger/longer than the usual standard button/Schaller button screws. So now I can't screw it in all the way because it is bottoming out and the toothpick is all mashed up and shit.
How do I get this shit out? Suggestions to shim and reradius will be met with a half hearted "lol" but I will actually be thinking "get fucked".
I know there is this urban legend about like an inner city minority child that stuck a Q tip so far in their ear that it broke off and the doctors said it would need surgery to remove. But the innovative mother of this child had the bright idea of using another Q tip with glue attached to the end to remove the first Q tip.
I'm pretty sure it's a story exclusively shared by hardline republicans and those crazy people that think the flu shots are evil to try and make doctors seem corrupt and unintelligent, but the principle might be sound.
Should I insert another toothpick with glue on the end to extricate the first toothpick?
