I'm looking for something to replace the bridge on my Melody Maker V. Something I can actually Intonate because it is currently a basic wraparound, no saddles, or adjustments, and when I tune it lower than D it just sounds horrid. I don't really have a budget but I do also need to grab some new tuners for this thing so i'm hoping not to spend more than $50 or $60 on the bridge, and i'm also hoping to find something I can use with the existing Gibson studs.
This is the guitar in question:
I was thinking about a Hipshot Baby Grand, but it might look strange hanging off of the pickguard. (It is also $90)
This one is only $37, but I kinda wish I could find something slightly more fancy in my price range.
STEWMAC.COM : Adjustable Wraparound Bridge
I Really like the Schroeder Stoptail Bridge, but I really don't want to pay $117 for it.
No it does Not have to be from Stewmac. I really dislike Allpart's website and haven't looked through their selection yet, but website does not matter to me.
Keep in mind, most stores deal with allparts, and you'll get a better price from them than direct from allparts. That said, the one you posted (not the schroeder, the other one) seems perfectly good to me.
