I saw this little guy and thought it would be perfect for my Telecaster. For those who haven't seen one before, it's an output jack that is bowl shaped. It also screws in at an angle with two small screws; that way it virtually never loosens.
So, for those of us that have a hard time finding the hole (Chris, Dave, etc..), the 1/4" tip (Chris, Dave, etc..) is guided right in every time via the curve in the socket.
It is 7/8" standard hole sized, and threaded for Switchcraft jacks. It replaces the nut on the jack. I, however, kept the nut on the opposite side of the jack.
Onward to the install!
