Not like the neck is twisted. So I've had this rgr1570 neck missing a fretboard for god knows how long now. i've had a fretboard for it almost as long. I just measured the nut/24th fret, marked it, and cut it down (routered, more accurately). it lines up great at those points, but the edge of the neck isnt straight. I'm kinda confused. The neck widens back out at the nut. Like, i'd expect it to widen out past the break point of the nut, what with the headstock and all being back there. but it widens back out maybe 1/3 of the way from the nut to the first fret. Like this.
Here, you can see where it lines up at the nut (and it lines up like that at the body end of the neck, but then the neck tapers in. That fretboard is routed to a precision straight edge, and ive checked a few edges against it, its definitely the neck.
the neck played great with the old FB on it, so I'm not worried about it per se, but how do i shape the fretboard the rest of the way?
Aaand something got misaligned while routing the nut shelf, and this is now useful for like, fretting practice i guess
