I'm fairly new to this and am experiencing tuning stability issues with my non-locking rig. I do like to play around with the tremolo, so I've opted not to block it for the time being. I've heard the use of "Nut Sauce" can help alleviate some tuning issues with non-locking trems, but recently stumbled on this article.
Tuning Lubricants: Can they damage your guitar?
I guess my question is what is your experience with such lubricants? Does anyone use plain Vaseline, and has there been discoloration or other problems associated with it? Eventually I plan to obtain an axe with a locking nut and Floyd, then I will block this one and play it as a fixed bridge. Until then I have to make the best with what I have, and would appreciate your feedback.
Awesome thread title.
I couldn't give a shit if my nut is stained by lube.
