I'm starting to order parts for my RG7620 and I realized I have no clue how I'm going to wire the guitar up. It currently has two 3-way switches; one blade style (switchcraft) and one Les Paul style.
I was planning on removing the Les Paul toggle switch and replacing it with a mini on/on switch but the hole is about 1/2in in diameter so it's way to big for a mini toggle and slightly to big for another pot (dunno if I'd have room for that anyways).
So what are my options? I'm tempted to try one of those Blackout preamps and use the second switch to go between active/passive/kill but I don't know if that's possible and it's way above my soldering skill level
The Blackouts switchable pre hasn't made it to market yet, so that option is out. Why not use a latching push-push switch to activate a "blower" circuit? (wiring the bridge pickup directly to the output jack)
Or you could put in a momentary kill button.
