Grabbed a few pairs of active size passive covers and decided to mess around. My wife has this brand of nail polish she used that has aUV lamp that dries the polish in 30 seconds and its by far the best shit she has used. It lasts unchipped for weeks untill her nails grow out and she has to strip them and do it again.
It got me to thinking I could use that for something. I'v been wanting white covers for my DC, but i couldnt find white. Dont think they make them. So i bought some of the white polish(this shit is expensive but its the good stuff apparently) and some clear top coat and painted up these covers and UV'ed them.
I dont think this finish will wear away and if it does, it will be very far down the line. I'm also kind of thinking about drilling my warpigs lug pattern in one cover so i can put the bridge pup back to as close as it was before.
It did put them a bit further from the strings, but i bumped up my gain a tad to compensate and I'm using a warpig and ionizer. So high output pups anyway.
