    The volume is the same as the other strings. It's a well balanced sounding guitar, just not quite the tone I was hoping for. For a first build though, I'm happy it makes sound at all! I really need to practice a bunch so I can record something that isn't too embarrassing. Or...if someone wants to volunteer to play it and I will record it...

    It feels great and sounds plenty good. Played much worse. Hell. I inquired to buy it.

    I feel it had opened up a good bit since you built it.

    You'll likely find the tone changes considerably the more you play it and the older it gets, but like you say it's a first acoustic build so just the fact it plays is a winner. And I don't believe you can't go below "C" on an acoustic either, I used to own an Ibanez AJ307CENT (I think), their first 7 string acoustic. No problems with volume on the low B on that at all.
