I have a strat copy and while most would view it as junk it is the first guitar I ever bought so it has an immense amount of sentimental value.
I rescued it from a storage space and plugged it in and found that the switch seemed questionable and the pick ups were muted if functioning at all. So I decided that I'd like to give the guitar an overhaul.
I bought some fender pots and jack, becky and bill keystone coils but I'm thinking I would also like to improve the action as it's not the greatest.
What can be done and what kind of prices would you be looking at to have it professionally done?
Should I consider changing the tremolo system as it is a stock no name?

After that, if you don't feel comfortable doing it on your own, take it to a luthier and get his price quote.
I can't say how much everyone charges, but the luthier I used to take mine to charged anywhere from $20 to $60 for a full setup (+strings), depending on the guitar.
