So, I am in the process of changing the stock pickups in my Carvin DC727 out for BKP Warpigs. When I popped open the control cavity I noticed that the bridge had a wire coming out and grounding it to the foil shielding lining the cavity. There was no wire grounding it to one of the pots.
My question is, when I replace the pots and pickups do I still need to ground them with the bridge wire currently soldered to the foil lining, or can I leave that alone.
I'd personally leave it as is if everything works. Soldering to pots sucks
