I'm stringing my caparison 6 string up in Bb for some death metal fun but I can't seem to avoid annoying string buzz on the g string from about the 7th fret upwards.
Strings I'm using are 14 18 28w 38 49 70.
I had it set up professionaly using lighter strings but they were too light and I was getting fret buzz everywhere.
The trem is blocked so its essentially a fixed bridge. Fret height is perfect across the neck.
Nut is fine as far as I can tell.
Anyone able to give me an idea of what I should be doing with the truss rod when I up the string guage and tension as a result. I've tried a few adjustments (I know to be careful and not make large adjustments etc). But I'm not sure how I should adjust the bridge along with the truss rod.
Any help would be appreciated!
Looks like you are using cables for strings. I'll face the same issue when I decide to go to dropped tunings, but I'll probably just take mine to a pro for setup. I would think to try to eliminate the buzz with bridge adjustments before messing with the truss rod, but I could be wrong. I cringe when I think about truss rod adjustments.
