I just picked up my guitar after a month of not using it (it's a B.C. Rich KKV with a Kahler hybrid tremolo). I tuned the strings and immediately came across a problem. Every time I tune a string, the bridge raises and all the strings go out of tune. The bridge doesn't stay in position at all.
How do I fix this? Any thing I need to know to set it up?
All floating terms go into a state of equilibrium. As soon as you fuck with that, you're knocking everything out. You need to lock the trem down, tune it, stretch the strings, then clamp the nut and tension the spring till it gets to pitch.
