I've got an NGD on the way soon and like with most of my guitars, I want to put Dunlop Strap locks on it. Problem is that I don't want to have to drill deeper into such a nice guitar to make the screws fit in. I saw on Allparts' website that they do the buttons with the screws for that system and the screws seem to look like they could be smaller but I'm really not sure. Does anyone have any experience with those or have any suggestions on what to do in my situation? Cheers!
-Dunlop Straplocks suck, never use them
-Schallers or Cliplocks are the only good options
-Don't be afraid of drilling. You are extracting a tiny amount of wood. Unless you have a seizure while holding the drill, it is impossible to fuck up a guitar. I always have to drill wider holes when I install cliplocks in maple (the screws are slightly longer and wider, maple is too dense to get it in with a hand screwdriver), I've done it on a bunch of "nice" guitars.
