    Partial capos.

Has anyone else messed with them at all?

I've just dug mine out after not playing with it for a while to experiment a bit and added it to my Jackson sixer to change the open string notes from DGCFAD to either DADGAD or DGDGBD.
I've found the 'fake DADGAD' arrangement is actually quite interesting for lead playing, as all your fingerings are the same, but the open strings have been rearranged, so you can get some quite cool open string licks going.

    Anyone else?

I have one that I made a while ago. It was originally to play an Andy McKee track so Ive only used it on my acoustic, but now you mention using one on electric...I think this could get quite interesting
