    How to improve technique?

Hey guys, I've been having a lot of trouble getting my sweeps up to the speed I want them to do be at. I figure somethings probably wrong with my technique. I threw together a video really quickly (full of that juicy sloppy sloppy), hopefully there's something I'm doing wrong so that I can maximize my speed more.

I'm aiming for 50 bpm higher than whatever I was doing in the video.

Do you guys think it might be worth starting from the beginning with a metronome at some stupidly slow speed and then working my way up again?

Yes, I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Slow it down and you'll find where it is you're actually going wrong, it's impossible to tell from that speed.
