So for the past few weeks I've been working on trying to learn a few licks/chunks of solo's. Generally I can generally get the actual notes down or can see myself getting them down but I'm having serious trouble getting things like massive bends with the crazy vibrato on them down.
For example the bend here at 1:00:

Any tips? I've been trying to do the bend up from say 12 to 14 thing but it's really boring and I was wondering if there's any better way to approach this all.
Play with less gain for a little bit, and work on getting a different feel with different speeds of bends and pick emphasis. That's what worked for me when dealing with vibrato; go for a nice aggressive mid-gain tone and really try to make the same phrase sound different when you play it a different way.
