It's time for me to try to extend my reach. I can only comfortably fret the 1st fret with my pointer and the 5th with my pinky, that's how bad it is. I see lots of players doing chord shapes like 5-7-8-10 or 5-6-8-9 and to me that is not possible. I could try to do it when I'm practicing but I wouldn't be able to use it in my playing. I mean I'm even having trouble doing simple stuff like 5-7-9.
My body in general is very not flexible in that if i extend my fingers they're not even straight which I think is part of the problem. People always make fun of me because of this
I'm looking for exercises that has helped any of you fellow mg'ers in rectifying this.
