I've never had the time to study lead stuff until now so I've got a lot of catching up to do. I don't really jive with a lot of lead stuff anyway but Tosin Abasi does things that DO jive-me-silly as well as some of what Petrucci does. One of which is Glass prison.
There's a cool arpeggio that he does on the track "Glass Prison" @ about 2:20. My main question is if he's picking each note or using pulls+hammers. I think all of them are picked except some of the higher notes but my ear isn't used to picking out what's going on in the minutae with fast lead stuff as fast rhythm stuff; it all sort of blurs together 0.o I'm gaining a new respect for what's going on with this lead stuff...though impressive a lot of it still seems too flashy for me it IS incredible things like Petrucci picking every note of the final upward appeggio so...clearly. Ish is boss
Anyway, help is appreciated.
It's like economy picking but due to the content being mostly arpeggios, that economy picking involves mostly little 3 and 4 note sweeps.
