Now, a while back over at ol' SS.org, there was a thread asking about just what the hell Fredrik Thordendal is doing when he's doing what he does, so I figured I'd ask a similar question. This time, though, it's Scar Symmetry's very own Per Nilsson! Just what is he doing, all you people that can recognize and play more than minor pentatonic and Phrygian dominant (i.e. not me!).
On which part? There's a key change in there. Both halves are working off a mode of some sort (too quick for me to identify either). Doesn't sound particularly exotic. Common go-to's for that sort of thing are dorian and lydian.
