Age old questions, but I'd still like y'all's inputs.
All recordings I make have to much pick noise. I'm not looking for a legato sound, but every pick attack is too audible.
When I apply an amp sim they get even worse, reduced to digital-sounding static ("chip-chip-chip" at every note) in an otherwise (at least to me) good tone.
Rolling off gain on lessens it a bit, but then my sustain goes to hell and lead stuff becomes to staccato.
I've tried changing the picking angle but there's no real difference. I'd really like not to have to part with my Jazz III XL's cause I love them :-).
ive never had this problem, does it happen with both pickups? i can see it being an issue on the bridge but not so much on a neck pickup
