He's probably was the most ridiculously of all the jazz dudes, too. I remember reading his lesson on four note chord comping. He said the root note should follow the chord progression, and to improvise three independently moving harmony lines that follow the root line. I mean, bam, my head exploded. No fucking way I could ever do that.

    I'll just leave this here:

Division: American Metal without the suck.

    So live for today,
    Tomorrow never comes.
    Die young, die young,
Can't you see the writing in the air?
    Die young, gonna die young,
    Someone stopped the fair.

Glad to see it was worthwhile ordering it off Amazon.

I bought this a while back, I still haven't tackled it. I'd like to work through it on a 7 or 8 string - even if I only play what he's playing, I'm thinking it'll help me learn the board more in a 7/8 string context, and get me more used to not using the low strings all the time.

It's funny watching these jazz monsters just sit there and play, compared to the metal guys jumping all over the place with smoke and lights and shit like that. And this is probably more complicated than any metal song out there.
