And I'm finally man enough to admit it.
My pride has taken a back seat and I know without a doubt that I need help improving.
Let me put it this way... If you were to put me in a band atmosphere right now, with a guitar in hand, I'd have no idea where to start. I'd probably jump to the first cover song I could think of. It sucks and it eats away at my confidence in playing.
I like playing most any type of metal, a lot of 80's, or really anything melodic. Though I haven't really had too much trouble with rhythm heavy cover songs, when it comes to creating something of my own that is catchy and not the typical "chuggity, chug, chug" on one typical set of chords to the next, or having a great resemblance to another song, I'm extremely lacking.
So, I'm open to any and all suggestions on how to improve my rhythm playing.
Any info is appreciated!
