Love at First Sting is a great record that involves a lot of this kind of playing, but also combines it with a lot of more traditional playing as well. One of the better records of the early 80s IMO.

awe,i feel bad,i grew up seeing all those l.a. bands (played a show with faster pc waaay back in the day)i was in the l.a. scene(83-85ish)
