Here are two fantastic low-priced instruments that punch well above their pay grade and were both discontinued before their time.
[SOLD] The ATK305, in particular, sounds, feels, and plays like a much more expensive instrument, with a very comfortable mid-sized neck, very low action, a solid and useful low B string, and a surprisingly versatile array of vintagey and modern P-Bass and Stingray tones available. The only real disadvantage I can see is the weight; this is a pretty heavy instrument, about on par with my '78 P bass. I'm selling because I have my eye on another modern active 5'er, and also because I need to downsize and reduce the number of cases cluttering up my apartment [SOLD]
The MM5 is a 30" scale Bass VI-type instrument, and sounds very bass-like on the neck pickup or with both pickups through a bass amp. Through a guitar amp on the bridge pickup, it has a more aggressive guitar-like tone. Great neck, very fun, and INCREDIBLY lightweight and comfortable, and I love playing it in my band. However, the stuff I do in said band really lends itself to full-scale basses more. To forestall the inevitable questions, it does djent. Currently tuned E to E with something like a .025-.095 set.
I'm looking for ** SOLD** $300 shipped **SOLD** for the Ibanez and $250 shipped for the OLP, and I will include a gig bag with each.
No, Chris, the SLSMG is not for sale.
