Sherman Compound Scale Fanned Fret 8 String

This is the sister guitar to Kevin's Sherman 8, which won GOTM a while back. This was delivered by Mike today, and while I won't go into the details in this thread (nor will I answer questions about those details), suffice it to say that this guitar cost me a friend, and I just want to wash my hands of it.

It's 25.5-28.5 compound scale, mahogany body, maple board with what I believe are Nordstrand pickups. It has a couple of flaws (which I will get to), but despite the drama around this builder, the quality of his work is never in question. This is a gorgeous fucking guitar, and it breaks my heart that it showed up looking this good.

I'm just trying to get back what I have into it. Something like this from a builder like Mike would normally run you a shitload more, so this price is firm as hell. It's "new" in that I received it today. $2300 shipped, CONUS only. That includes insurance and a HSC that I'll have to buy before shipping it. (It did not come with one)

    The issues:

    - There is a scuff by one of the pots (see pics) where it was over-polished.
    - Mike had issues with Nordstrand and the pickups - the pole spacing is a bit off from the strings. Maybe it's just my ear, but I gave it a go and I can't tell the difference. The guitar sounds great and is resonant as hell.

There is some buffing/polishing compound residue here and there that you can see in the pics. Other than the scuff by the pot and a bit of tarnish on the gold hardware (since this guitar took over two years to get to me), those are about the only cosmetic flaws that I can find. The finish is fantastic, and a bit hard to get pics of.

    The scuff:

    The pole spacing:

Again, it fucking sucks that this is a FS thread and not an awesome NGD thread. This is an incredible instrument that is for all intents and purposes "new". I am just not interested in keeping it.

Please keep this thread bullshit and drama free.

If I hadn't just moved into my house I would absolutely no doubt take this. It's pretty much what I was gonna get Mike to build me other than it's fanned and has a maple board.
