    100 Push-Ups Program?

Any of you guys tried this? I just started it today.
I could never get over twenty at once. Evidently I was going about push-ups the wrong way. Since they're a weight lifting exercise, you have to do them in small sets and build up; instead of maxing out at twenty and waiting a day or two to max out at the same spot again.

Should be fun to see it this will actually get me up to 100 though! I'll let ya know in six weeks

I tried this, maybe 8 months to a year ago. I got through maybe 4 weeks before I kind of ran out of motivation.

I think just doing pushups might be a bad idea, as it will only train the chest and triceps, and not upper back an biceps. Mixing the 25 pull-ups, 200 sit-ups, 200 squats programs and making your own 200 back extensions program would be a better idea.

I did this last year, and I have to say it works. Might take a little longer than 6 weeks if you're like me, but totally worth the time.

It's a cool program because it has a well-defined objective, however, I found the curve to become a bit steep around the halfway mark. After the initial test going with the rightmost column the first three weeks were OK but after that it got a bit too hardcore for me, having to do 25 + 29 + 25 + 29 + max (>36) series with those 2 min breaks. At that point doing 40 consecutive push-ups once was fine, but the repeats killed me.

By repeating the training weeks as necessary one surely gets to 100 eventually, but my guess is that the concept of reaching 100 in just 6 weeks only applies to those who already have a somewhat athletic background.

Yeah, that's what did me in. I got about as far as week 4 or 5, and I was able to just finish the week before, but not the next week so I decided to repeat a week before going on. It was kind of a disheartening enough experience that I lost focus and didn't finish.

Hmm.. I just did 25 no problem. Maybe I'll try this program. I wanna see what they have for the pullups.
