Seeing all these sandwich threads (and specifically a comment on battering it in Leon's thread) has reminded me of something some of my friends tried a few years ago - None More Battered.
You will need a deep fat fryer, batter and the constituent parts of a beefburger.
Basically anything that goes into the burger has to be battered and deep fried. The bun halves, the patty, cheese, onion, lettuce, bacon, the lot. Once you have the parts all battered & fried you assemble the burger, batter the whole damn thing and deep fry one last time.
Eat, then sit back and wait for the coronary.
I'd give it a go myself, but I don't have a deep fat fryer.
I've seen a whole cheeseburger deep fried but it was all done at once and not as individual parts and then again as a whole unit.
