I am a Scotch guy. I love Scotch. Scotch, Scotch, Scotch, Scotch, Scotch!
There are a few bourbons I enjoy (Booker's, Basil Hayden's, etc.), but I'd never had an Irish I liked. I've had Jameson's, I've had Black Bush, and a few others, but nothing ever did it for me. On vacation last month I was at a Whiskey bar, and the bar tender suggested the Redbreast, I enjoyed it at the time, but I had enough booze that evening that I would probably have enjoyed anything. This weekend I picked up a bottle, and let me tell you.... it's awesome. For any of you Scotch guys that want to find an Irish, this is the one to try!
Here's a nice review, which I agree with completely: Redbreast 12 Year Old Irish Whisky Review and Tasting Notes | Whisky Critic
Of note, it was less than $50!
I'll have to check this out, if this hangover ever goes away...
Have you tried any of the Battlehill stuff?
