I've been trying to run again lately, figuring that's the only thing that'll actually get me skinny again. The respiratory exercise I can handle, but it's actually shin pain that's causing the most trouble during and after running.
Do any of you run, and if so, and thoughts on this? Wrong shoes? Bad stride? It's kinda frustrating, because what I figured would kill me is being out of breath, but really it's not. It's zee shins.
shin splints dude, its when the muscle actually starts separating from the bone from so much running stress. it happens alot when you go from minimal activity to fairly intense running.
best way to help is to ice and i have also found those mcdavid compression sleeves work wonders as well.
best way to make yours better as well and keep them from happening in the future is to strengthen the muscle that separates. i find that just sitting on the cough and using my toes to roll something up,say a towel works great to strengthen it up.
