NBD, though everyone that would give a shit about this has already seen it on Strava/Instagram.
I've been jonesing for a cyclocross/gravel bike for a while now, and my LBS hooked me up with a 2015 Giant Revolt almost at cost. My brother has one of these and I've been drooling over his since last season.
Normally these are double duty pavement/dirt road bikes, but I didn't need one of those so I put hilariously oversized knobby tires of fucking doom on it that I could run tubeless. The ride was pretty harsh at first but once I found the sweet spot with low enough tire pressure it was surprisingly comfortable - a lot like a hard tail MTB with a stiff front fork.
Once I made a few tweaks to the fit and the ol' PSI, I was able to absolutely drill it around the woods and it was freakin' glorious. There are a bunch of local spots that I don't ride very often because they're kind of boring on a full suspension, but on what's basically a road bike with monster truck tires in the tucked aero position it's a completely different kind of riding. Little jumps don't seem like much on a MTB but on a CX bike they're certainly a bit terrifying.
Anyway, other than the tires, seat and pedals it's basically perfect right out of the box. Should be a hoot in the winter with studded tires on the pavement too!
Blah blah pics!
