Last week I bought a used GT Aggressor 2.0 from a retired guy who fixes and sells bikes. I don't know if that's his only source of income (no receipt so probably gets some government help). Nice enough guy, and he said to get in touch if I need anything fixed. That's not common with a Kijiji sale . I don't know the age of the bike, but it's in decent enough condition. It's certainly better than an equivalent priced Canadian Tire model.
I had went to buy a Norco Pinnacle as I know they are decent beginner/intermediate bikes and good for regular riding (no drops or whatnot). I noticed the GT and asked how much it was because it had higher quality shifters, cranks and derailleurs.
The front fork is very stiff and not much, so I may upgrade that soon. The rear rim was upgraded to double-wall, which is good as I'm a hefty dude.
I want to get 20km a week in once the weather gets nice.
I don't have any money to throw at this (aside from buying a helmet), but I'm going to see which bikes my dad took to Vienna, and see if I can get my marzocchi fork back
There you go man. You should be on strava too.
20 km will be easy once you get a few rides in.
Check with your local bike shops for places to ride some easy trails.
