Blow the fanfares for the Emperor!

..okay, only if you are really desparingly bored.

As I was so bold to simply go and post away after finding and signing up (I couldnīt resist..) with this board Iīll just let you know what weirdness you caught here:
Iīm a 38 year old former student of Physics (currently unemployed) who was involved in a band as singer 20 years ago. Donīt ask for names, all evidence of the band was destroyed. We were bad. All other former members deny having been involved, ever having heard of it or even having lived nearby. I lack the decency for doing so.
A couple of years ago I took some money to get a dream I held for many years come true: Get a guitar and learn to play it. I got one, still am a lousy player.
By now I own two guitars which together probably cost less than the average pickup in your better axes, so please spare me confessing what firewood I call "my instruments".
I stumbled over this forum late in 2009, read a bit so far.
A nicely made site with loads of interesting input, three cheers to the lot of you!

    Cheers again,

Welcome aboard! We welcome firewood too, keep it away from the Canucks though in their winter I wouldn't worry, some of us don't even have guitars at the minute, so there's no competition (besides GOTM )
