Helter Skelter will become famous soon enough
Default How's it goin'?

Hi, all!

Where to start? Well, like many who've joined, I found the site looking for tips to improve my playing.

I began playing guitar something like 8 years ago. I started on my grandpa's Beltone parlor guitar. It was old as dirt (think 30's), and holy shit, the action on that thing... Anyway, suffice it to say, I never got very far playing on that guitar. My first year in college I took a guitar class and bought a classical guitar. I like classical, and I'm ok at it, but my original goal was to learn to shred (will never happen lol). So, last year I picked up a cheap Epiphone SG Special to move away from my classical roots with.

I'm by no means a great guitarist, or even a decent guitarist, but I'll be using the info and experience available on this forum as I learn and I hope that if I have any questions you guys will be willing to help me out! Please don't make too much fun of me.

TLDR?

Rarrrgh.

Anyway, welcome, and if your username is in reference to the Beatles tune, that's a kickass song.

In reference to the Beatles song and more, cause I'm badass like that.

And, yes, as Ohio_Eric said, TLDR= too long; didn't read. I thought I may have written too much for some folk to want to read my initial post.

Which is ironic that Drew posted that because most of Drew's posts are wordier than War and Peace.
