    Stockholm syndrome

Greetings from Stockholm! I stumbled on MG via the tapatalk app on the iPhone. You had me at the "thoughts on practice" thread :-)

I started playing more seriously three years ago at the tender age of 33 after having noodled randomly on an old acoustic on and off for years. I'm as dedicated as I can possibly be for a bedroom guitarist with a one year old daughter. I take lessons from Therion's ex-guitarist.

Currently looking for a metal band but I find it a little bit challenging that people with my level of experience are usually 20 years old and want to rule the world (practice 4 nights a week, gig on weekends and become world famous), while people my age are much more experienced and established with bands already.

I'm mostly doing covers right now but just started writing some of my own stuff.

Ok end of life story, tl;dr? :-)

Don't worry about people talking behind your back, it just means you're one step ahead and they're in perfect position to kiss your ass!
