Hey, Cliff here. Clifton, not Clifford, but hey, the fewer syllables the better, right? I'm mostly a bedroom guitarist, although I don't have any objection to playing for an audience, it's just, that's not why I do it. I do it to do it.
I've played guitar off and on since high school, but most intensely over the last seven years. I'd like to think I've learned something, but I'm currently in the process of unlearning a lot of shit to learn a new way, going from an understanding of the instrument based on patterns to an understanding in terms of notes. I'm taking lessons from a guy who has a Bachelor's in Jazz Composition, so he's all about the theory.
I mostly go the great metal players for inspiration, although I can't really play like any of them.
