Hi there, I'm Fu from the Netherlands. Although I like almost every musical genre (from Balkan jazz to classical, grind to fusion etc), metal is an old love of mine (about 25 years now). I make some metal myself under the moniker of Mystic, it's atmospheric metal, a little progressive, a little technical. Think of Fates Warning meets Megadeth meets Cynic. Sort of.
Check my YT channel if you're curious: Mystic (progressive metal) - YouTube
Next to that I play in a Church band with much better (semi-pro and pro) musicians than me, for relatively large audiences. Additionally I make dance, electro, rock, experimental and whathaveyou at home. I play an old Ibanez RG3120 for cleans and solos, a RG2610Z for metal rhythm, and have a very old RG260 with a GK-3 element to drive a Axon guitar synth at home or a Roland GR-30. I use a Fractal Axe Fx Standard for amp modeling and effects.
I also own a beautiful Ibanez SZ520 (the first model) but since I ordered an Ibanez MTM2 I will sell that one. With the MTM2 I will jump on the bandwagon and try my hands on some djent yessir.
I hope to learn a lot here about gear, technique and guitars!
Welcome aboard sir! Djent is a very touchy subject round here, just as a precursor
