Thought I should introduce myself before whinging about being rubbish at guitar. I'm from Halifax, UK and found this forum on Tapatalk last year.
I started playing about 10 years ago and had a band at school. We covered a few songs by Blink 182, Green Day etc. and broke up around 2007 to go to university. I pretty much stopped playing after this and have recently tried starting again but being awful makes things a chore.
My skill level is pretty much non-existent past power chords and the pentatonic scale.
I've been lurking on here a couple of months now and I'm hoping the forum will help me to become a better player.
My amp is a Marshall DSL 401 combo that I've had around 7 years.
I recently bought a Vox Pathfinder as a more portable practice amp. The clean is "good" but it's terrible on overdrive.
My current guitar is a Gordon Smith 1 1/2 .6 (flat LP shape) with a single coil in the neck and humbucker in the bridge. The sound is good but it doesn't seem to stay in tune well since I started playing again.
I've been using this one guitar since 2004 so if I can develop my playing I want to get another.
Welcome to the boards, man! Don't worry, most of us are rubbish at guitar too.
