Well... Hi guys, i have been checking this forum since like 2-3 months and i figured out it's time to be a part of the community!
I will tell you a little about myself:
Well my real name is Cristóbal Fernández I'm a 17 years old teenager from Santiago, Chile (South America). I have been playing instruments since 8 years old, I played piano for 2 years and then when I was 10 I started playing guitar, at first I started learning a bunch of Metallica and Megadeth tunes in my first acoustic (that proccess was like a year long) and then I got my first Electric guitar which was a Les paul copy since then i been playing every day for 3-8 hours. 2 years ago I got like my Shecter Omen Extreme and I started to get serious in playing guitar, having some classes now and then, sometimes learning new techniques and stuff!.
I like a lot of music, Metal (obviously), Jazz, Pop (the well accomplished pop like Phil Collins, Mew, 22), Electronica, Indie, Rock, Funk and stuff.
I often listen to bands like: Opeth, Katatonia, Immortal, Amon Amarth, Animal As Leaders, At The Gates (I saw them here in Santiago in August, and it was like a dream come true), Burzum, Dark Tranquility, Glass Cloud, Meshuggah, Shining (The guys from Norway), All of Steven Wilson Projects, Guthrie Govan, The Aristocrats, Death, Cynic, Atheist, Gojira, Decapitated, Cannibal Corpse, The Safety Fire, Monuments, Tool, Circa Survive, Bathory, Deftones, Down, Sikth, Cult Of Luna, and a lot of other bands...
This last year i started to get in writting music, and music production. I have formed a Band called Algor Mortis, which is like some kind of Melodeath mixed with doom. And also i have my personal project which will be public soon. (And hopefully you will be able to hear it too! )
I also got some guitar-nerdy skills like reparing guitars, changing some parts, wire them up, and also I make guitar pickups, which is a very interesting and fun thing for me!
I'm so interested in learning from you guys from a lot of subjects, and maybe (in a long tiime) show you something, and also showing my music and stuff.
So thanks for reading, have a great day and Hello!
PD: As you may see, my songs are pretty basic, but i feel that they are well acomplished ignoring the production (which is a subject that i have so much fun learning).
