I came here from another site as a fan of black guitars with Floyds because I thought it'd be a pretty good repository of metal guitar related knowledge.
Since registering and reading some of the bigger threads on here, I've refinished my Ibanez RG in matte neon green and am desperate for a TOM-equipped fr00ty seven with a pointed, reverse headstock. I also can't stop leering at bottles of superglue around the house
In all seriousness, Mike and Noodles' love for top-mounted Floyds and/or TOM bridges really did convert me. I played one of the new Jackson SLAT-7 archtops yesterday based on what they said about arm angle, and holy shit is my picking faster/smoother/more comfortable on an angled neck and raised bridge than on the Floyds I have at home. I know what my next purchase is going to be.
